Renewable energy is a key component of the proposed Penwith Economic Blueprint. We are incredibly lucky to have Charmian Larke living on our doorstep so come along and hear what she has to say about how a local energy strategy would benefit Penwith’s economy.
Charmian has over 25 years' experience in renewable energy project development including wind, combined heat and power (chp), waste to energy, biomass and hydro. Her research projects have included EU funded studies into biomass resources in the South West of England and a dual fuel wood/waste to energy chp project, to heat local authority housing and nearby food factories. She has written numerous papers and environmental reports, and provides strategy and renewable energy expertise to the European Commission and sustainable energy advice to the Transition movement amongst others.
